Mesterregissør Ken Burns har  laget 16 timer rent dokumentargull: "Country Music". Serien blir vist på NRK senere i høst, og nå er deler av lydsporet samlet på en "Grunnkurs i Countryhistorie"-dobbelvinyl. Samlingen starter og slutter med Carter-Cash-klanen, kledelig nok. Og der i mellom pepres vi med pensum: fra oldtimere som Bob Wills, Ray Acuff og Bill Monroe, via Kitty og Patsy, Loretta, Dolly og Emmy, til The Possum, Merle, Outlaws-gutta, og til nyere fanebærere som Dwight Yoakam, Kathy Mattea og Vince Gill.
