Adorable/Heartbreak is the debut LP from Alex & The Alpaca, the indie pop-rock project of Nicaraguan-Norwegian artist Alex Cardenal, also known by his DJ name Alpaca Beats. This record compiles two EPs onto the two sides of an LP. The LP is elevated by colorful, cartoon-like artwork created by Oslo-based visual artist Maria Maaneskiold. The back cover and label designs act as a visual map, with yellow and red representing the two EPs.

• Side A: Adorable – A feel-good and carefree indie pop and bedroom pop EP tied to the color yellow. This side is already available on streaming.

• Side B: Heartbreak – An indie rock and alt-rock EP tied to the color red, exploring themes of loneliness and anxiety. This side is exclusive to the physical release.

About:
This record follows Alex's first years living in Oslo as a young adult after relocating from Nicaragua, and later in Lillehammer (where he attended LIMPI) pursuing his dreams as an artist. Alex channeled these periods of transformation into his songwriting and creative explorations in music production. Adorable/Heartbreak captures a creative journey, as Alex experiments with autotuned vocals and distorted guitars. He also challenges himself by sampling drums, designing synths, vocal chopping, and pitching audio files, among other production techniques.
